DEVICE FOR MEASUREMENT OF DRAFT OF WATER CRAFT IN SWELL Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: shipbuilding; devices for measurement of draft of water craft in swell and in smooth water, emergency situations inclusive. SUBSTANCE: device includes main and additional transducers mounted at one normal to the base plane of water craft below its minimum draft; transducers are mounted at some distance from each other and from base plane. Device includes also signal subtracter; one input of subtracter is electrically connected with output of main pressure transducer and other input is connected with output of additional pressure transducer. Output of signal subtracter is connected with one input of signal divider whose other input is connected with output of main pressure converter. Output of signal divider is connected via scaling amplifier with one input of signal adder whose other input is connected with reference signal source and output of adder is connected with indication, recording and signalling unit via ripple filter. Pressure transducers are connected with sea water by means of pipe line through inlet hole. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 2 dwg
