FIELD: electrochemical treatment of metal surface to form on it corrosion-resistant, heat-resistant and wear-resistant coatings and imparting to them of dielectric and decorative properties. SUBSTANCE: the offered method consists in submersion of treated material serving as the first electrode, and the second electrode into electrolyte, application of voltage to them in form of driven by load base pulses to initiate many microdischarges uniformly distributed over surface of treated material, and maintenance of voltage to ensure deposition of coating of preset thickness. In so doing, induced additionally to base voltage pulses are initiating pulses superposed on them. EFFECT: provision of deposition of coating which has, at least, three layers and featuring the characteristics exceeding similar ones of coatings deposited by the known methods. 19 cl, 3 dwg , 1 tbl
