FIELD: railway transport; repair and maintenance of railway and street car tracks and motor roads and other objects covered with ice in winter. SUBSTANCE: device has frame 1 on which shaft 3 with eccentrics 4 is mounted across track. Eccentrics carry connecting rods 7 with working members 20. Device has levers 9 hinge-mounted on connecting rods for turning in vertical plane along track with above-indicated working members being mounted on levers. Eccentrics are arranged in pairs at both sides of rail 12. device has plates 13 for accommodating the working members. Plates are hinge-mounted on levers close to rail and are spring-loaded relative to levers. Plates are interconnected by flexible tie 19. Knives are used as working members. Strikers are installed on plates instead of knives for driving the spikes down. Strikers are spring loaded relative to plates. Far levers on connecting rods are detachable.
