FIELD: rotary furnaces; dehydration and drying of loose materials in food-processing and chemical industries; production of aluminium fluoride. SUBSTANCE: rotary furnace includes body with metal shell mounted coaxially inside it; shell is provided with thermal expansion compensators made in the form of corrugations; furnace is also provided with fasteners. Corrugations are made with inner undercutting of rectilinear section connecting the rounded-off sections of corrugations at an angle of 28-32 deg between rectilinear sections. Shell is secured to body by means of movable joint in the form of coaxial rod secured on shell and pipe secured on body. EFFECT: increased furnace service life from 0.5 to 1.5 years; increased number of heat changes shell from 30 to 120 without break. 3 dwg
