SUBSTANCE: converter has input leads for connecting ac voltage supply, n-1 power cells, where n > 1, load resistor and capacitor, output voltage setting element, pulse shapers, signal transformers each incorporating 2n separate secondary windings, two diodes. Each of n power cells has two diodes, four thyristors, and two capacitors. With low capacity of power cells, converter can convey high power to load.
