MULTICLONE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: dust accumulation; boiler of industrial and public services power engineering for cleaning flue gases from ash. SUBSTANCE: multiclone includes housing with inlet, outlet and dust chambers and cyclone members with volute swirlers. Volute swirler of each cyclone member is multistart swirler. Pitch of mounting cyclone members on horizontal tube sheet between inlet and dust chambers is equal to at least 1.37 diameters of cylindrical part of cyclone member. Tube sheet between outlet and inlet chambers is made in form of pyramidal diffusers interconnected together; face of each diffuser is inclined from vertical through an angle of no less than 30 deg. Mounted on swirlers at the top are taper fairings at apex angle lesser than 60 deg. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of protection of flow section of multiclone against dust deposit; reduced hydraulic resistance at protracted continuous operation. 2 cl, 2 dwg
