FIELD: medicine, neurodiagnostics. SUBSTANCE: method deals with a short-term mechanic stimulation in area of the belly of symmetric muscles in limbs. Period of muscular fluctuations is registered, asymmetry coefficient is calculated by the following formula: K = Th - Ts/Ts : 100, where Th is the period of fluctuations in healthy muscle, Ts - that of in a sick one. At coefficient values ranged from + 52.54 to + 0.31 it is possible to predict increased muscular tone in case of central paralysis at paresis, and at values ranged from - 1.69 to - 46.75 one should state upon decreased muscular tone at peripheral paralyses.
