FIELD: light-mass ac welding apparatuses with reduced input current. SUBSTANCE: power supply has transformer whose primary winding is connected to single-phase ac power leads through thyristors connected in parallel opposition, circuits set up of series-connected capacitor and inductance coil, parallel output circuits each incorporating transformer secondary winding connected in series with inductance coil; resistor is connected in parallel with one of transformer windings. Total mass of welding apparatus assembled according to mentioned circuit arrangement is 15 kg at current of 130 A. EFFECT: improved arc striking conditions, enlarged arc striking length, extended welding current control range. 1 dwg
