CALIBRATION PROCESS OF ANGLE TRANSMITTER OF ELECTROSTATIC GYRO Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2114396 C1

FIELD: precision instrumentation, manufacture and operation of electrostatic gyros with spherical rotors. SUBSTANCE: spin axis of gyro rotor is oriented in parallel to spin axis of the Earth. Case of gyro is discretely turned in sequence about its two equatorial axes parallel to sensitivity axes of transmitter. Discrete turns of case are carried out with installation of gyro on platform of two-axle gyrostabilizer and connection of it in the capacity of sensitive element of gyrostabilizer by sequential feed of standard signal in the form of voltage changing in steps to input of amplifier- converter of proper tracking system of gyrostabilizer. During feed of each step its amplitude is compared with amplitude of signal of angle transmitter of gyro. When equality of these amplitudes is achieved angular position of platform is measured.
