SUBSTANCE: method uses effect of self-switching of unidirectional distributed-interacting waves in non- linear medium and involves application of linear-polarization pumping wave and orthogonal polarized signal wave to object. Vector of polarization of pumping wave or signal is directed along optical axis or at angle to it which is much less then π/2,. Pumping wave intensity Ip is less than threshold.
