FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for optical amplification of laser radiation includes dividing source radiation through multiple channels, amplifying the radiation in the channels and forming unidirectional radiation at the output of the channels. The channels used are non-linear optical waveguides with tunnel optical coupling between them. Intensity of optical waves at the input of the waveguides and/or coefficients of tunnel coupling between the waveguides and/or the length of tunnel coupling of the waveguides and/or the wave frequency is selected such that waves at the output of the waveguides are in the same phase.
EFFECT: high rate of generating amplified radiation.
