FIELD: drying of lumber, applicable in forest, wood-working and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: the method of lumber drying in recirculation drier consists in heating of drying agent in drying chamber and driving through lumber by means of a blower, drying of drying agent in condensation chamber with condensation of water vapors in a platen air heater, drawoff of used drying agent by a vacuum pump with creation of vacuum in the drying chamber; use is made of two condensation chambers with blowers located before and past the drying agent with lumber, and a heating chamber is positioned between two condensation chambers, the drying chamber with lumber is separated from the heating and condensation chambers, condensation chambers with blowers operate alternately; at such a direction of motion of drying agent through the drying chamber with lumber, when drying agent moves from the drying chamber to the operating condensation chamber, at reversal of motion of drying chamber in the drying chamber with lumber the condensation chambers switch the roles, at employment of axial-flow blowers they can operate at different directions of motion of drying agent with the respective reversal of rotation of rotors.
