RECIRCULATING DRIER FOR LUMBER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: forestry industry, wood-working industry and other industries. SUBSTANCE: drier includes horizontal cylindrical housing, circulating fan, heating volume for heating the drying agent, heating volume with lumber with wood grain directed along motion of drying agent, condensation volume where plate-type calorifier is located which is cooled with cold water, vacuum pump partially sucking the used drying agent after condensation volume; heating volume is made in form of circular space formed by cylindrical side-bar located concentrically inside housing; evenly located in circular space are tubes which are connected with remote hot-water boiler; truck mounted in inner portion of cylindrical side-bar is loaded with lumber; it is closed on sides and is open at end surfaces; connected on one side of drying volume is condensation volume with plate-type calorifier which is cooled with cold water. During operation, drying agent moves in one way only, towards condensation volume. EFFECT: reduced drying time due to reduction of stagnant zones. 5 dwg
