FIELD: acoustooptics; development of television and computer systems. SUBSTANCE: device has holographic display, source of coherent monochromatic light, and electronic control system which includes signalling and reference units, as well as synchronization unit. Holographic display is made as rectangular plate manufactured of photoelastic material. Two groups of elements are positioned on narrow edge of plate. Every element represents piezoelectric transducer of acoustic waves. It has form of strip parallel to smaller side of edge. Transducers of first group are positioned between transducers of second group. They have identical period with them and are displaced relative to transducers of second group by half the period. Every transducer of first group is connected to respective channel of reference unit, and every transducer of second group is connected to respective channel of signalling unit. Source of coherent monochromatic light is provided with modulator controlled by synchronization unit in electronic control system. EFFECT: extended field of application. 2 cl, 3 dwg
