FIELD: dispersing and emulsification in chemical and food industries. SUBSTANCE: cavitation generator has body 1 with working chamber 2 that houses driving shaft 5 with activator 6. Activator is manufactured in the form of disc with cylindrical mobile cavitators 9 installed along normal to its side surfaces. Cavitators 9 are put on disc with the aid of streamlined pylons 8 and are displaced over radius with reference to each other. Cavitators 9 shut working chamber with some clearances with regard to its face walls 7. Walls 7 carry cylindrical immobile cavitators 10. Periodic overshooting of mobile cavitators relative to immobile ones enhances dynamics of cavitation zones behind cavitators which results in increased intensity of cavitation treatment. Bubble cavitation emerges behind cavitators in the volume of liquid and does not emerge on walls of chamber and activator which prevents their cavitation erosion. EFFECT: increased intensity of cavitation treatment. 2 cl, 2 dwg
