FIELD: railway transport; catenary suspensions. SUBSTANCE: connector has two jaws with chutes for wires connected by bolts. Longitudinal slot is made at one end in middle of each jaw. Depth of slot is not less than two thirds of radius of wire to be connected. One of chutes is zigzag in cross section square to jaw division plane. Each chute has cut of alternating projections and cavities directed square to axis of connected wire. Through hole for heat sinking is made in each jaw between holes for bolts. Other slot can be made at opposite end in middle of each jaw whose depth is not greater than two thirds of radius of wire to be connected. Other chute is made zigzag in cross section square to jaw division plane. EFFECT: improved reliability of connectors, enhanced flexibility of contact system, reduced metal usage in manufacture of connectors and, consequently, their price. 2 cl, 3 dwg
