FIELD: manufacture of ferroalloys. SUBSTANCE: blend for preparing high-carbon ferrochrome comprises chrome ore, carbon reducing agent and slag-metal waste resulting from high carbon ferrochrome production. Blend further comprises low carbon ferrochrome slag, ratio of components being as follows, wt.%: carbon reducing agent, 10-15; 5-15 slag-metal waste resulting from high-carbon ferroalloy, 5-15; low-carbon ferrochrome slag, 1-10; and chrome ore, the balance. EFFECT: lower specific power consumption for reducing chrome and lower chrome losses in dump slag. 1 tbl
