FIELD: transport engineering; diagnostic methods. SUBSTANCE: method comes to the following: indirect parameter characterizing the process of braking is measured. Relative acceleration coefficient or vertical forces redistribution coefficient is used as diagnostic parameter. These coefficients are calculated by definite formula. Checked value is found basing on correlation dependance between side nonuniformity of brake application from measured indirect diagnostic parameter. Value, thus obtained, is compared with standard value, and technical condition of automobile brakes is judged basing on results of comparison.
