SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to automotive industry. Method consists in fact, that simultaneously with vehicle single emergency braking to full stop performing distributed longitudinal reactions measurement on each wheel of diagnosed axis along vehicle elastic wheel tire contact spot length on dry even horizontal road section. Determination of braking efficiency and vehicle stability during braking is carried out taking into account of distributed longitudinal reactions measurement along vehicle elastic wheel tire contact spot length on dry even horizontal road section. Vehicle braking system diagnostic device additionally includes second section with support platform installed flush with road section, and measuring element installed on this support platform. Support platforms and measuring elements are coated with polymer coating with adhesion coefficient of not less than 0.8.
EFFECT: enabling higher efficiency of braking systems diagnostics.
