FIELD: transport engineering; automobiles. SUBSTANCE: antishock device includes front and rear bumpers and side guard members. Bumpers are made in form of wedge-type articulated variable geometry multiple-member mechanism provided with stop rods hinge-coupled with sides of multiple member mechanism and with control device. Side guard members are provided with shock absorbers projecting beyond automobile body outlines. Stop rods are made of paired parts with provision of relative displacement at shock loads. EFFECT: reduced traumatism of passengers and injuries to automobile body in road accidents. 2 cl, 6 dwg
