FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective devices improving passive safety of vehicle. Penal protective device to increase safety of driver and passengers in case of car accident includes housing-beam and two multilayer, multi-span corrugated packs, typed "corrugation in corrugation" from coppered, steel, polished, hardened or hard-drawn corrugated tapes. Housing-beam is made of two parts of straight beam with U-shaped cross section rigidly connected along their length and base. Inside the housing-beam there is a pusher made in the form of a strip with a rectangular cross-section, and the pusher on the side of the impact load acts on the value greater than the pusher stroke, and corrugated packs with interference over corrugations tops, larger residual corrugation, are arranged above and under pusher. Working surfaces of straight beam, housing-beam and base, on which corrugated packages rest, form empty space in form of truncated wedge, with axis of symmetry coinciding with longitudinal axis of penal device, wedge angle α, providing pusher self-braking in any of its position relative to housing-beam on second and all subsequent sweeps of impact action, and horizontal side of rectangular cross section of this wedge has constant size, and vertical side – decreases in height as distance from point of impact load application. Pusher in the longitudinal section is made in the form of a wedge reciprocating to this wedge, and providing identical tightness along all corrugated packages tops. Working surfaces of the housing-beam at both ends of the corrugated packs have free sections with length larger than displacement of the extreme top of the corrugated pack along the working surface with complete straightening of the corrugated pack. Width of the pusher is smaller than the width of the corrugated packet and there are gaps between the lateral sides of the pusher and the walls of the housing-beam. Base is made with longitudinal side flanges with holes for attachment of the pen device to the car frame.
EFFECT: provides for effective protection of crew at any direction of side impact in car bumper.
