FIELD: recovery, decontamination, and reuse of domestic and industrial wastes. SUBSTANCE: method involves pre-drying of solid wastes, their supply to pyrolysis chamber, and combustion with separation into solid residue and gaseous component which are subjected to high-temperature treatment in slag-metal bath of melting furnace. Oxidizing agent is fed to pyrolysis chamber and dry domestic wastes are introduced so that products of destruction of rubber parts are overlapped and at least two beds of solid wastes are formed on pyrolysis chamber bottom. Products of destruction of rubber parts reinforced by metal in ozone-containing gaseous medium are obtained in the form of cord. Conditions for feeding oxidizing agent and products of destruction of rubber parts to pyrolysis chamber are determined. Plant implementing this method has domestic-waste pre- drying chamber communicating with pyrolysis chamber whose outlet is connected to electric melting furnace bath and unit for destruction of rubber parts reinforced by metal in ozone-containing gaseous medium communicating with pyrolysis chamber through sluice. EFFECT: improved efficiency of high-temperature treatment of metal- reinforced rubber parts and recovery of domestic and industrial wastes. 16 cl, 2 dwg, 1 ex
