FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method and device are designed for direct casting of molten metal into continuous strip of crystalline material with the help of control of supply of molten metal to teeming reservoir installed, mainly, horizontally to the neighboring moving surface of casting roll. In this case, level of molten metal at the outlet end of teeming reservoir located near casting roll top, semihard cast strip is separated, mainly, horizontally from the region of roll top and secondary cooling is provided in transportation of separated strip.
