FIELD: biotechnology, medicine. SUBSTANCE: product: lipopeptides of the formula (I): where R₁ is 3,4-unsaturated or saturated, branched or nonbranched fatty acid containing 12-15 carbon atoms. Method of their producing involves culturing the strain Actinoplanes sp. DSM-7358 on nutrient medium containing carbon and nitrogen sources and mineral substances under aerobic conditions followed by isolation by precipitation at pH 0.5-4.0 and purification of ion-exchange resins or by chromatography on hydrophobic matrix. Both chromatography stages can be carried out by alternative or successive procedure at any sequence. Invention relates to also drug showing antibiotic activity against gram-positive bacteria, especially to that showing resistance to glycopeptides, based on an active substance and the corresponding pharmaceutical carrier and containing lipopeptides of the formula (I) as an active component taken at effective amount, and to the strain Actinoplanes sp.
