METHOD OF PRODUCING CAST-IN-PLACE PILES Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: method implies making bore-hole with using casing pipe, installation of reinforcing framework and electric discharger unit, filling bore-hole with hardening electric-conducting material, formation of bore-hole with widenings by means of performing high-voltage electric discharges at different levels. Casing pipe is of length which is larger than depth of bore-hole. Before filling of casing pipe with hardening material, plate is put over casing pipe with pipe connection having flange which embraces casing pipe with clearance. Plate is located on ground surface and clearance is hermetically sealed with stuffing material. Then, put over casing pipe is removable cover with sealing flange by means of which stuffing material is compacted and cover is fixed to pipe connection of plate. As casing pipe is being removed, executed at various levels are high-voltage electric discharges. As discharger unit is moving closer to day surface at distance equal to 2-3 diameters of bore-hole, electric-conducting material is added by pouring-in to height equal to 0.8-0.9 of bore-hole depth. Last level where high-voltage discharges are performed is located in plane of plate. Application of aforesaid method ensures higher load-bearing capacity of pile under vertical and horizontal loads.
