FIELD: determination of sorption swelling of natural coals. SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes hermetic ampoule and branch pipe for gas injection, swelling recorder in the form of sources of monochromatic light, photodiodes and mirror corner reflectors placed on sample of coal, two pairs of fibre-optical channels, two protective enclosures. Each protective enclosure is manufactured in the form of two hollow tube interconnected and placed inside gas-tight chamber for longitudinal movement along it. Each pair of fibre-optical channels is located inside hollow tubes of protective enclosure. Symmetry axis of protective enclosure coincides with that of corner reflector. EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement of sorption swelling. 1 dwg
