FIELD: radiolocation, surveillance radars using Doppler-pulse radiation with discrete set of repetition frequencies of pulses or series set of rate of change of carrier frequency. SUBSTANCE: with scanning of beam along azimuth meter determines values of azimuth at which signal amplitude reaches maximum on each repetition frequency or rate of change of carrier frequency. Arithmetic mean of maximum and minimum values of azimuth from found assemblage of values of azimuth is used as evaluation of azimuth. Technical result of invention lies in design of meter enabling measurement of azimuth to be conducted with usage of probing signal with sets of repetition frequencies of pulses or rate of change of carrier frequency alternating in series.
