FIELD: radiolocation equipment engineering, possible use for measuring distance from target in observation mode with serial emission of signal from a set of discontinuous pulse repeat frequencies.
SUBSTANCE: estimate of ambiguous distance is determined on basis of amplitudes in distance strobes at each pulse repeat frequency. During determining of unambiguous distance value of ambiguous distance estimate range is taken into consideration. From a set of produced possible (modal) values of distance one value is selected, fulfilling a certain criterion.
EFFECT: decreased time of radio contact with the target by increasing precision of distance detection and decreasing number of false distance measurements, achieved by presence of ambiguous distance computer, random access memory block, block for selecting decoding repeat frequencies, block for determining stack beginning, block for determining stack end, unambiguous distance block, consisting of possible values computer, weight function computer and possible values selector, and selection block included in range-finder circuit.
