FIELD: engine manufacture; cleaning exhaust gases of compression ignition engines. SUBSTANCE: catalytic neutralizer case is double-walled structure with heat insulation inbetween; it has end plates, inlet and outlet pipe connections. Reactor formed by case walls and end plates has internal partition provided with gas flow shut-off unit. Reactor is divided into four sections by walls of oxidizing and reducing units and gas flow shut-off unit. The latter unit has twin spring-loaded valve installed perpendicular to neutralizer longitudinal axis and ports designed to distribute gas flow depending on engine load conditions. Neutralizer is equipped with electromagnetic actuating mechanism connected to twin spring-loaded valve. EFFECT: improved thermal economic efficiency of engine. 2 cl, 1 dwg
