FIELD: television engineering. SUBSTANCE: monotron has open electrodynamic system, coupling member for signal output, electron source and collector, input and output diaphragms limiting interaction space. Novelty is that one or more additional modulating diaphragms are placed in interaction space perpendicular to E-direction of electromagnetic field and have holes to pass electron flow. Size of holes is smaller than length of radiation wave; thickness and location of diaphragms depend on focusing conditions for flow electrons in ac field braking phase at output diaphragm. EFFECT: improved efficiency and reduced starting current of generator. 1 dwg
