FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to technologies using mirrors and other optical components in places difficult to reach for clearing, for instance, in laser equipment where method can be used to clear internal surfaces of resonator mirrors of lasers. Clearing is performed by action on optics with radiation having wave length 0.2-00.6 μ at angle of 10 deg with surface with power from 10.0-100.0 kW/sq.cm to 10.0- 20.0 MW/sq.cm and pulse duration up to 1000 ns. Method clears surfaces from oxide layers and foulings. EFFECT: improved reflectivity of optical elements, clearing of surfaces of optical elements up to maximum permissible boundary of optical material. 2 dwg
