URETHROSCOPE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: urethroscope is used for examination of magnified picture, diagnostics and treatment of diseases of urethra internal surface when filed of vision is illuminated by "cold light". Urethroscope has fiber light guide which protects tube from heating. Urethroscope also has optical head, accumulator handle with storage battery and four changeable tubes with obturators. Optical head includes light source in the form of small-size halogen lamp, fiber light guide and eyepiece. Optical system of eye-piece uses lens telescopic Galileo system with visible X1.3 eyepiece which is capable of moving relative to objective along optical axis for focusing of picture of urethra internal surface. Changeable tubes of urethroscope are of four standard sizes selected by Scharier scale. Urethroscope is supplied from 220 V mains. It is also provided with autonomous supply from accumulator handle containing storage battery which may be recharged from charging device. EFFECT: safe diagnostics, enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 3 dwg
