SANITARY LITTER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, in particular, equipment for transportation of patients having different kinds of injuries. SUBSTANCE: litter has carrying cross-beams with immovable head-supporting plates and body-supporting plates and two extensible cross-beams with foot-supporting plates. Cross-pieces with locking device and clamp are rigidly secured in cross-beams. Cross-beam is made in the form of inner pipe with flat portion, on which cross-piece with locking device and handle are fixed. Clamp has inner sleeve with flat portion. Sleeve has two springy petals arranged eccentrically relative to its axis and provided with flexible layer. Litter is provided with another sleeve rotating on above mentioned sleeve and provided with eccentric bore at its end. Eccentric bore is adapted for engagement with petals, with its eccentricity being opposite to that of petals. Plates are provided with openings. Such construction of litter allows patients to be transported from tall buildings, mines, difficult-for-access places, as well as at emergency situations.
