FIELD: chemical technology, organometallic compounds. SUBSTANCE: fullerene ((C60)) is subjected for interaction with triethylaluminium ((AlEt3)) excess at mole ratio C60 : AlEt3 = 1:(50-350) in the presence of catalyst zirconacene dichloride ((Cp2ZrCl2)) at amount 1-3 mole% with respect to triethylaluminium and toluene as a solvent, in argon atmosphere, under normal conditions for 24-48 h. The reaction mass is treated with 5% hydrochloric acid an aqueous solution. Method ensures to obtain ethyl derivatives of fullerene of the general formula EtnC60Hn at ethyl group number from 1 to 7. Method can be used for synthesis of new hydrocarbon compounds. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis. 1 tbl
