FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this is used for ensuring air draft for water cooling in tower. Sheeting of metal framework of cooling tower is made of polymeric strips with thickness of 1.5-2.0 mm and width of 200-400 mm. Polymeric strips are joined to each other by lock fastening by way of catching together concentric open circumferences which create edges of polymeric strips. External diameter of right-hand circumference is equal to internal diameter of left-hand circumference. Value of opening in left-hand circumference is equal to 0.5-0.6 of external diameter of right-hand circumference. Value of opening in right-hand circumference is equal to 0.4-0.5 of external diameter of right-hand circumference. Application of aforesaid arrangement of cooling tower sheeting ensures reduction of labour-intensity in assembling and prolonging service life. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 3 dwg
