FIELD: tobacco industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of suspension containing tobacco dust, binding and aqueous media, melting of suspension on foundation, drying of melted suspension with forming of recovered tobacco leaf and removal of recovered tobacco leaf from foundation. Average size of tobacco dust particles is from 120 to 400 mesh. Binding contains one or more substances separated from guara resin, resin of carob tree, tamarind resin and flour. Suspension contains dry substances from 17 to 25%, while 8% of dry substances are binding. Weight ratio of tobacco to binding is from 50:1 to 10:1. Produced recovered tobacco leaf has from 80% to 90% of tobacco with residue containing additives such as binding. Invention also concerns tobacco product prepared by proposed method.
