FIELD: chemical- pharmaceutical and food industries. SUBSTANCE: crude cellulose with whiteness at least 65% is subjected to simultaneous hydrolysis and bleaching in sulfuric and peroxymonosulfuric acid solution with concentrations 2.5-10 and 0.48-3%, respectively, at atmospheric pressure and temperature 100-105 C for 0.5-3 h. Exhausted solution can be reused after addition of 1/3 parts of initial concentration of the two acids. EFFECT: simplified technology and enabled use of low- grade raw material. 2 cl, 7 ex
