FIELD: cellulose derivatives production. SUBSTANCE: aldehyde groups of ozonation-prepared microcrystalline cellulose are condensed for 2-3 hr at 97-100 C with 1-2 moles of a cellulose-modifying amino compound per 1 mole of aldehyde groups until degree of substitution 5.8 to 9.3 is attained. Product contains substituted unit with following structure: where R is residue of amino compound, namely 5-amino-1,2,4-triazole, 4-amino- 1,2,4-triazole, alpha-aminosuccinic acid, alpha-aminopyridine, or aminobenzene.
