FIELD: synthesis of cellulose derivatives. SUBSTANCE: method comprises reacting initial; cellulose-containing component with monochloroacetic acid in isopropanol. Treatment is carried out at ratio of 0.3-0.8 g of monochloroacetic acid per 1 kg of cellulose-containing component. Cellulose-containing component is microcrystalline cellulose.
