FIELD: end seals of steam turbines. SUBSTANCE: system includes high-pressure and medium-pressure cylinders with end seals whose chambers are connected with steam supply and exhaust lines by means of pipe lines. Steam supply and exhaust lines are provided with driveless control valves. Inner cavity of plates of these valves is connected with turbine tap or manifold of respective control pressure. Proposed system makes it possible to maintain optimal level of labyrinth steam pressure in exhaust chambers in all modes of operation of plant (operation under load, transient modes in decreasing and increasing loads, starts and stops), thus reducing nonproductive consumption of steam from seals, enhancing economical efficiency and excluding inleakage of air in turbine or steaming and contamination of oil with water in all modes of operation.
