FIELD: mechanical engineering; compressors to satisfy high requirements as to cleanness of compressed gas. SUBSTANCE: part of compressed gas from cylinder space is delivered into storage space with subsequent throttling in clearance between piston and cylinder. Gas takeoff is performed on part of compression stroke. Piston is installed in compressor cylinder with clearance. Piston gas suspension supply space is made in cylinder wall. This space is connected with clearance between piston and cylinder through throttling devices. Supply space communicates with cylinder compression space through check valve. The latter is installed in cylinder wall at a distance from bottom dead center less than distance covered by piston in compression stroke. Distance Sp from bottom dead center to valve can be found from the following expression: Sp ≥ 1,3•Mp•R•Tp/D²•Pp,, where Mp is mass consumption of compressed gas to supply gas suspension of piston during one double stroke; R is compressed gas constant; Tp is temperature of gas in supply space; D is cylinder bore; Pp is pressure in piston gas suspension supply space.
