DEVICE FOR HEATING STRUCTURAL UNITS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2120201 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: electric current of high level and low power is supplied to closed conducting circuit. Preferably, current is induced in circuit by means of transformer. Circuit has at least one or sequence of conducting members of structural unit to be heated. Current level is high with respect to specific resistance of members of structural unit to provide generation of heat inside its elements. Preferably, used current is alternating in order to transmit it over surface of members or near surface in order to increase effective specific resistance of member and to increase heat generated in it, primarily, near surface of members. EFFECT: increased efficiency, possibility to heat structural unit in arbitrary position without use of special-purpose heaters. 17 cl, 14 dwg
