FIELD: radiochemistry, rare-earth elements. SUBSTANCE: europium is cemented from citrate solution containing gadolinium with alkaline metal amalgam. Then precipitate containing gadolinium and europium monocitrates is added to solution. Amalgam is contacted with biphase system solution-precipitate directly. Output of process is increased by 5-6 times. Method provides the separation of gadolinium and europium. EFFECT: improved method of isolation. 1 tbl
