BULLET OF PLAIN-BARREL GUN AND PROCESS OF ITS MANUFACTURE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: ammunition for hunting guns. SUBSTANCE: bullet includes plastic tail- stabilizer which has cone-shaped part thickening towards lead head. This part is flared out into bottom part of head. Cross-section of tail equals diameter of head finished to specified caliber. In process of manufacture of this bullet lead head is cast with cylindrical bottom recess and conical ring-shaped thickening over outer diameter. After this thickened part of tail is inserted into recess of head and head is pressed to specified caliber. As result tail-stabilizer is firmly fixed in head ensuring increased accuracy and hitting range due to diminished aerodynamic resistance.
