FIELD: electric measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in systems with automatic collection of information on values of measured quantities. Capacitive pickup of device is formed by pointer indicator and electrodes of current conducting material deposited on scale and electrically insulated both from scale and from other elements of structure of device. Immobile electrodes present individual layers oriented with reference to marks on scale each one being electrically connected to separate additional terminal relative to center of rotation axis. Capacitive pickup may incorporate additional electrode- substrate of current conducting material covering surface of scale electrically insulated from scale and other elements of structure of device and electrically connected to additional terminal. Possibility of determination of position of pointer with regard to marks on scale is provided by presence of capacitive pickup in given device. One of output capacitances of it will be maximum while pointer is in vicinity of corresponding immobile electrode of system oriented relative to marks on scale. Presence of electrode-substrate makes it feasible to employ high-sensitivity bridge circuits for conversion of capacitance.
