FIELD: instruments, in particular, automatic information monitoring equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has housing, measuring mechanism with casing and mobile member, pointer indicator, scale with marks, capacitance detector, which includes pointer indicator and stationary electrodes, which cover scale and are made from current-conducting material. System of stationary electrodes is formed as arc-shaped layer which is split into several regions by cuts. These members are joined into two electrodes each of which is connected to separate terminal. Cuts between electrodes provide possibility of differential and monotonous measurement of capacitance between pointer and each of stationary electrodes around monitored positions of pointer and equality of capacitance between them in monitored positions. In this case bridge-type capacitance detectors can be used. EFFECT: increased sensitivity and stability to noise. 2 dwg
