FIELD: microwave equipment, in particular, backward-wave traveling-wave tubes for generation of heavy electromagnetic microwave oscillations with electronic frequency tuning. SUBSTANCE: device has feedback circuit between delay system and electron gun. It is designed as electrodynamic system which transmits traveling-wave electromagnetic field from output of delay system to electrode which provides modulation of electron emission from cathode. This results in entrance of bundle of electrons to delay system. Wide range of electronic frequency tuning is provided by design of electrodynamic system as piece of delay system of same type as is used in device with size which provides necessary phase shift in feedback circuit. EFFECT: increased efficiency, increased output power of backward-wave tube while keeping wide range of electronic frequency tuning. 1 dwg
