FIELD: separation of gases in chemical, petrochemical and gas industries, in mechanical engineering, in medicine, in gas analyzing equipment. SUBSTANCE: membrane coiled member to separate gases and vapors has perforated collector with coiled bearing drainage in the form of external spacers and intermediate spacers put between them and folded sheets of flat membranes between which vortex generator is positioned. Bearing drainage and sheets of flat membranes are sealed over perimeter forming membrane package whose length exceeds its width. Collector mat have partitions. One of them is installed inside it to form inlet of additional flow directed by countercurrent flow to feeding flow and the other one is located inside membrane package and is directed towards periphery of membrane package stopping short of sealing seam parallel to collector. Such design of membrane coiled member makes it feasible to increase productivity and efficiency in separation of gases and vapors by 2- 3 times..
