FIELD: sealing technology; fittings of sucker-rod pumps for sealing their rods. SUBSTANCE: body of cutoff device is secured in housing perpendicularly to axis of rod of sucker-rod pump. Arranged in this body are: movable rod loaded with spring with taper plug held on rod by means of screw and stop to prevent plug from getting in contact with rod of sucker-rod pump. Mounting seat is bored in body coaxially relative to cutoff device. In case of breakage of rod, mounting seat is closed by taper plug, thus excluding escape of well product into surrounding medium.
