FIELD: devices consuming thermal power at nonuniform production or consumption. SUBSTANCE: heat accumulator has heat insulated housing accommodating capsules filled with heat accumulating compound changing its aggregating state in working temperature range and separating plates in form of truncated disks installed square to longitudinal axis at fixed distance from each other. Capsule made in form of extended tubes are arranged between extreme plates, square to plates, and are sealed by means of cylindrical plugs at both by upsetting and end face welding of tube end face parts. Plugs have concentric slots on their surfaces. Spatial position of capsules is preset by location of holes in separating plates. Extreme plates are made solid. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and manufacturability of capsules at their filling-up under factory conditions without impairing other characteristics of heat accumulator as a whole. 2 dwg
